Season Opener Hits Wellington

The draft is in the books, the rosters are set, and puck drop for Game 1 is finally here. Opening night features a marquee matchup between the Coaches Wings and the Prince Edward County Farms Seamen.

Despite the opener being played in Wellington—a ways away from their usual home turf at Coaches Pub in Picton—rumor has it the Wings won’t be abandoning tradition. Word on the street is they plan to keep their legendary pre-game rituals alive with a six-hour stay at Pounders Pub before taking the ice.

Whether the extended warm-up fuels their game or drains their legs remains to be seen. Either way, the 2025 season officially starts tonight!!
